We managed to catch up with local up-and-comer CJ Weaver for this week’s edition of Translation Sound.  He’s been putting in some serious work in the studio and it’s been paying off with forthcoming releases on labels such as Tech:Noir, Buried Audio, Alphacut, Broken Audio, Dust Audio, Golden Age, Digibeat, and Absys.  This guy is truly putting DC/MD/VA back on the map and if we hadn’t caught up with him to check what tunes he’s been reppin, we would have never known about his forthcoming adventure in Panama to study … monkeys?  Bigup CJ and big things to come, we can’t wait to hear more!
